We're Hiring AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 Cover Art Preview
Howdy!
Effective immediately, Mile High Comics is accepting applications for employment with our company. The positions that are potentially available are in our retail stores, and also in our online fulfillment department. If you are interested in applying, please be aware that you must be an American citizen (or have a work visa), over the age of 18, and in good enough health to lift 50 lb boxes of comics on a regular basis. Depth of comics knowledge is critical for all of our retail positions, but not as much so for positions at our fulfillment center. If you might be interested in working with us, please apply in person at 2151 W. 56th Ave., Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM.
If you do not wish to work for us full time, but do still have a few hours each week that you would like to contribute, we are seeking volunteers to help us to work down our backlog of two million (!) unsorted comics. We are beginning this huge task by simply making packs of ten out of our bulk overstock. If you would like to participate in this 10-packing program, please contact Chris Lanham at our Jason St. Mega-Store. Chris works Saturdays 10-5, and Mondays 9-5, and Wednesdays 9-2. Chris can train you in about 15 minutes, and once trained, you can work any day of the week. We pay $10 an hour in store credit for this work (sorry, no cash...), but the store credit can be used for anything we sell, including new comics. You can even use this store credit in our auctions, which can help you to multiply the benefit of that $10/hour many times over.
In case you are wondering, we are accepting applications again because our recent price reductions on nearly all of our comics and magazines has caused an unprecedented surge in our business. Our sales have nearly doubled in our online service, and are approaching similar growth levels at our Jason St. Mega-Store. People really like those comics lower prices!
On a related topic, if you have visited
our Jason St. Mega-Store
lately, you may have noticed the large number of blank spots in our comic book display walls. Those holes are a direct result of our recent surge in business. Now that a great many of our back issues are at half of where they were just three weeks ago, we are blowing out of many of the comics that we have had in stock since we opened the store. If you have been considering adding some of our cool back issues into your collection, I highly encourage you to shop
our website,
or at Jason St., this weekend. At half price, a lot of our best older comics will not be available to you for much longer. In point of fact, someone on eBay may be eying the issues that you want, right now...

Amazing Spider-Man #1 Mile High
Moving on to other news, we just received the preliminary cover artwork to our exclusive
Mile High Comics variant edition of the upcoming AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (2014) #1.
This double-size issue will release just prior to Free Comic Book Day (May 3rd), and features the long-awaited return of Peter Parker to the Spider-Man mythos. We are accepting advance orders on this cool new Mile High Comics variant at all of our stores for only $14.95 each, with a limit of five copies. Please be aware that this double-size issue cost us substantially more to print, so we will need to raise our price to well above the pre-release price of $14.95 once it actually releases.

Magnus, Robot Fighter #1 Mile High
A second exclusive Mile High Comics variant that we have just created is
MAGNUS, ROBOT FIGHTER (2014) #1.
It releases from DYNAMITE next Wednesday. David Saindon, our retail stores general manager, wanted me to let everyone know that we will still accept advance orders on this issue at all of our retail stores at only $7.50 through next Tuesday, at noon. After that deadline we will need to charge $19.95 per copy, so please do try to place your order soon on this much-anticipated variant edition.
Happy Collecting!
