It is still pitch black outside this morning, and I'm already a little bit behind schedule. I need to quickly finish up this newsletter, and then pack for today's journey to Richmond, Virginia.

Another quick newsletter this morning, as I really need to be at our warehouse this morning. I genuinely want to get another pallet of comics sorted for our inventory team today, as for the first time in several months, I will be heading out to a convention this weekend.

A quick newsletter today, as I had to skip driving in to our main warehouse yesterday, due to yet another vigorous snowstorm. I'm not sure why this happens, but our region seems to alternate between high winds and snow in the wintertime.

This has certainly been a very pleasant week here at Mile High Comics in terms of trade paperbacks and hardbacks. For starters, our giveaway of FATHOM and GROO trade paperbacks that I began on Wednesday has been incredibly popular.

A quiet week here at Mile High Comics, with most of our efforts directed toward sorting and grading the huge number of collections that Pam has been receiving through our online buying program. I have personally sorted over 10,000 Marvel comics at this point, with another 5,000 excellent Marvels sitting on the sorting tables waiting to be finished.

As I mentioned I was planning to do last Friday, I spent the weekend sorting comics in our main warehouse. My main area of endeavor was a huge system of Marvel back issues that had been broken up for me by our inventory staff by alphabet, but still needed to be sequenced by title and issue number.

A gray morning today, with light winds blowing here in Boulder. The real weather news is the warmth, however, with yesterday having set an all-time record for this date at 77 degrees, and today predicted to match the 1936 record of 79 degrees.

There's not too much news today, as things have been fairly quiet around here. The weather has moderated into to 60's, with sunshine. That has melted most of the snow from last week's blizzard, and the world is even beginning to dry out a bit.

I don't know what it is about water pipes, but we sure do seem to have the capacity to break them. Right after I finished writing last Friday's newsletter, I received a call from William Murakami, our Vice President of Operations. He told me that he had received a call at midnight from one of our former employees, who just happens to live across the street from our main warehouse on 56th Ave. It seems that the pipeline carrying water to the hundreds of houses in the residential neighborhood to the south of our building had ruptured in the middle of our street, and was sending a geyser of water rushing into our building. Deja vu, all over again
