Avengers Annual #4 In case you are wondering, I am only being able to offer you this exceptionally nice giveaway because I am at the beginning of a year-long effort to totally clear out our 56th Avenue fulfillment center of all the unsorted comics, books, and magazines that have accumulated during the 29 years that we have owned the building. While we have been able to make exceptional progress on clearing 56th since we purchased our Jason St. building four years ago, completely reorganizing an inventory of 10 million+ items is quite incredibly time-consuming. Once we are finished moving out our unsorted comics (by about this time next year...), however, all that will remain in our cavernous 56th Ave. building will be the six million carefully sorted and graded comics that comprise our online inventory. Iron Man #55 The good news coming from our Herculean cleaning effort is that we are now delving into long-forgotten areas of the building, unearthing over one thousand unsorted boxes that were squirreled away by well-intentioned staff members decades ago. It is in those boxes that I am finding a plethora of wonderful comics, many of which are now quite desirable. Just yesterday, for example, I found a long-lost copy of the ultra-rare IRON MAN (1968) #55 (1st appearance of Thanos!) in Very Fine condition, over 100 early SONIC THE HEDGEHOG newsstand editions, and a slew of original TMNT comics. I also came across a box containing those AVENGERS ANNUAL #4's, which is precisely why I can offer them to you today. Cleaning up our huge 56th Avenue building is quite a daunting undertaking, but when you're finding great comics, it can also be fun!
