Free Comics Autographs - Jim Shooter Signing This Saturday ! Howdy! Chuck and Jim (click on image for larger view) I wanted to let you know that this Saturday, December 17th, comics legend Jim Shooter will be signing free autographs at the new Mile High Comics Jason St. Mega-Store. The signing will be from 10 AM - 3 PM, with Jim giving a talk about his 40+ years in the comics world between 11 AM -Noon. Having started as a writer on Legion of Super-Heroes for DC in the mid-1960's, reigned as Editor-In-Chief at Marvel Comics from 1979-1987, and then founded the Valiant/Acclaim, Defiant, and Broadway publishing companies, Jim's many inside stories about the world of comics are both enlightening, and also quite entertaining. In addition to the Jim Shooter autograph signing, Saturday's Mega-Store event will also feature several local creators showing their comics. There will also be a wonderful no-minimum-bid auction that will begin immediately after Jim's talk, that will feature over 1,000 comics, toys, posters, t-shirts, collectible cards, and action figures. This very fast-paced auction will include over 500 cool collectibles that would make great last-minute stocking stuffers, including Disney pins, Star Trek plates and books, as well as Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, and Image toys and apparel. Even if you are on a very limited budget, there will be exceptional collectibles bargains for you during the auction!
