Repairs at Jason Street Warehouse As I first mentioned in Monday's newsletter, we are in the middle of a critical water main repair project right now at our Jason St. Mega-Store. We had actually thought that we were finished with this project yesterday afternoon, as four hours of sawing through concrete allowed our contractors to finally be able to fix the crack in our huge water main. When they turned on the water pressure, however, a second break appeared. This new break was right in the middle of an enormous right angle connector, which forced us to spend another $2,000 to completely replace it. Sigh... Why is it that these kinds of projects always, always, always (!) take longer, and cost at least twice the estimate? Whatever the case may be, all the replacement parts are now here, and the contractors think that they can be done by this afternoon. That will mean the hole will be filled in, and asphalted, and that everyone can enter the Mega-Store via the front door again. That's great news, as an arctic cold front is finally heading our way, and it would not be at all good to keep our giant dock doors open on a really cold day. As those of you who consider these things may have already guessed, there is now no way that I can end our 20% off REPAIRS codeword this week. In all honesty, I really wish that we could just keep all of these for our future back issue orders, as I really do see enormous upside potential in this title.... Will's second suggestion was that we offer you a chance to purchase some exceptionally nice Dynamite/Dynamic Forces variant cover editions for half price. We purchased a few extra copies each of these 36 variant cover editions for our future back issue sales, but the pressing cost of the pipeline break compels us to sell them now at half price.
