Free DC Comics Graphic Novels Howdy! Today's newsletter will be a little shorter than usual, as I am heading to Colorado Springs this afternoon to help at a charity event. Before I go, however, I will be checking in on the completion of a massive project that began in early August to totally audit and reorganize our huge inventory of comics-related trade paperbacks and hardbacks. Thanks to the diligent efforts of our inventory staff member, Charlie Hubley, we now have an absolutely accurate inventory of all 250,000+ books that we moved to Jason St. from our old Fox St. warehouse complex. Charlie Auditing Trade Paperbacks One thing that became readily apparent to me during the counting process is that we have large quantities of certain books published during the 1980's that are now almost entirely forgotten. Who remembers, for example, that GAME OF THRONES writer George R.R. Martin wrote the SANDKINGS story that DC adapted into a graphic novel in 1986? It seems a shame to me that this book, and several others of equal quality, now just gather dust... All of the above having been said, I am going to offer you a very special deal today. I realize that I am pretty much giving away these nice books, but in all honesty, I would much rather have them in your hands being read, than sitting on a shelf in our warehouse. My only other thought for today is a quick reminder to allow us an extra day, or two, to ship your order. The drastic price decreases that I put into effect last month on all of our back issue comics in Fair, Good, Very Good, and Fine conditions have caused our online comics sales to more than double. Especially when the additional savings provided by our current 60% off GREATDEAL codeword sale are taken into account. Word is apparently bouncing around the Internet about how low our prices have dropped, as our sales growth is actually accelerating by the day.
