LOCAL NEWS - Comic Book Poker Game This Saturday - POKEMON at Mile High! Howdy! Today's newsletter is just a quick reminder that our bi-monthly benefit poker game will be held this Saturday morning (starting at 11 AM) at our Jason St. Mega-Store. Our games are really fun, and there are also some awesome prizes. If you've never played in Texas Hold'em tournament before, or would just like some professional tips from some excellent players, I urge you to attend our 10 AM poker seminar taught by our talented dealers on Saturday morning. Whatever your skill level, they will tailor their suggestions to meet your precise needs. Our 10AM training seminar is completely free! POKER FLYER As regards the cost to play in our game, it is essentially free for folks who pre-register. We ask for a $25 donation with registration, but we then immediately issue you a $25 Mile High Comics gift certificate. This offer applies only to preregistrations, however, so while we will accept last-minute registrations on Saturday morning, signing up in advance is recommended. You can register at any Mile High Comics location. Here are our Prizes for Saturday's tournament: 1st Prize - $500 Mile High Comics Gift Certificate 2nd Prize - $200 Mile High Comics Gift Certificate 3rd-5th - $100 Mile High Comics Gift Certificate for each I will close by mentioning that this poker game is a benefit for Rainbow Alley, a local organization that helps provide counseling and support for GLBTQ teens. This is a critical community need, as the homeless rate among GLBTQ teens is very high, and so is the incidence of suicide. I have personally participated in several Rainbow Alley events, and I can assure you that the young people that they serve are quite deserving of our support. In a nutshell, that is why Mile High Comics is hosting this tournament (in conjunction with the good folk of the Imperial Court of the Rocky Empire), and why we donating all of the prizes.
