Free Comic Book Day Begins at Midnight Meet Fonzie At Jason St. Howdy! A quick reminder that tomorrow (Saturday) is Free Comic Book Day. FCBD is traditionally our busiest day of the year, which is why we will be opening all four of our Mile High Comics retail stores at 8 AM (!) tomorrow morning. In addition, our Jason St. Mega-Store will reopen this evening (Friday) at 10 PM, so that we can begin giving away this year's 59 different free comic book special editions precisely at midnight. If you want to avoid tomorrow's crowds, and also earn the right to obtain 3 extra FCBD editions without needing to make a purchase, I highly recommend that you attend tonight's pre-release party at Jason St. Bleeding Cool I also want you to know that I am going to pick up Henry Winkler at the Denver airport in about three hours. If all goes as planned, I will then be bringing him over to our Jason St. Mega-Store at 10 PM this evening. This is very important for you to know, as we have had a very enthusiastic response to our publicity campaign about "Fonzie's" visit to our store. We now expect that Mr. Winkler will have long lines of fans seeking his autograph, at least during the first couple of hours tomorrow. It was with that thought in mind that Mr. Winkler graciously offered to also offer his autographed items, and personal photo opportunities, this evening. If you at all can do so, I highly recommend that you visit Jason St. this evening. Fonzie - Henry Winkler I will close today's brief newsletter by mentioning that you need to be aware that (like most celebrities these days...) Mr. Winkler justifies his trips by charging a fee per each autograph and photo that he provides. We receive none of the proceeds from his sales, and have no idea of what he charges. Mr. Winkler sets his own prices, and all those funds go directly to him. That having been said, there is no obligation to buy anything, and I can assure you that just meeting Mr. Winkler is a joy. My personal experience has been that he is incredibly friendly, and a consummate gentleman. We all hope that you can stop by Jason St. either tonight, or tomorrow, to meet this living legend of the American television and film world! Also, we just received the huge collection that I bought from Green Bay in the door today. The first 5,000+ comics from that collection will be at our Lakewood Store for sale Saturday. They will be 60% off from 8:00am-10:00am and 50% off for the rest of the day. This is a single owner collection with full runs of almost all the major titles from the last 20 years.
