Local News - Last Weekend 50% Off Comics and Toys Anniversary Sale Howdy! Our 50th Anniversary Celebration is going to end this weekend, with one final burst of four more days of buy one, get a second (of equal or lesser value) for 50% off. This second installment of our 50% off sale also applies to all ten million of our back issue collector comics, all 300,000 of our comics trade paperback collections, graphic novels, and comics-related hardbacks, plus our many thousands of Funko Pop! figures, action figures, toys, t-shirts, statues, and much more. Only new comics, a few variants, our blue-stickered comics, gaming cards, supplies, and our $1 bargain comics are exempt from this storewide 50% off sale. Bob Conway and Chuck So you know, the actual anniversary of my operating my very first booth at the monthly City Auditorium Antiques Fair in Colorado Springs (the first time that I ever offered collector comics for sale in public...) was the weekend of February 7-8, 1970. While I sold quite a few other items out of my little booth during that first weekend, I did not succeed in selling any collector comics. That first collector comics sale was to my lifelong friend, Bob Conway, and that transaction took place at my second show on Saturday, March 7th, 1970. In a nutshell, it is that one month differential between my starting out, and my first success, is how/why I define our origin as a company covering a month's span. Whatever the case may be, our last 50th anniversary buy-one, get-one for 50% off sale begins Friday, and runs through close of business on Monday. The weather is supposed to be awesome this weekend, so please do try to stop by Jason St. to take advantage of these great savings. And, if you can, do someone a big favor by bringing them along and giving them a tour of our wonderful store.
