Comics and Toys for Kids

Howdy!

Today has been an especially busy day here at the Mile High Comics Jason St. Mega-Store. Not only do we still have quite a few fans visiting to take advantage of our huge back issue comics sale, but an unusually large number of families are also visiting us. I cannot begin to tell you just how much that I enjoy seeing young people's faces light up when they first see all of the goodies we have available for them. I specifically built the Jason St. store for that eager young fanboy that I was once blessed to be, and it is an absolute delight to see how well that we have succeeded in pleasing the young fanboys (and fangirls!) of today.

Ocean of Comics

If you are thinking of bringing the younger members of your family to our comic book store this week, I have a couple of quick tips for you. First, be sure and take them into the special area where we are having a special sale on 30,000 back issue comics that we received from Tulsa just last week. At only $2 each, or 12/$20, these comics are quite affordable for young collectors, and the overall selection is excellent. It might also interest you to know that we are planning to add yet another 5,000 comics into this already vast selection during the course of this week...

Collection - $2 each

The second area that has proven to be exceptionally popular with young collectors has been the eight huge showcases that we recently filled with loose action figures and PVC toys, all priced at $4 each, 3/$10. Even if you somehow end up not buying any, just looking at this amazing selection of superhero figures is a great deal of fun. Those eight showcases filled with figures are located directly adjacent to our children's reading area, which has also been newly resupplied with great comics and books for young readers.

Action Figure Showcases

My final news note for today is that that we will be receiving our last huge shipment of comics trade paperbacks and hardbacks this week, with a special emphasis on out-of-print DC books. Our budget was a bit strained at the end, so we were unable to order quite as many of those DC books as we did those titles featured in that immense Marvel books shipment that arrived ten days ago. That having been said, we still did order at least 3 copies each of over 300 different DC book titles, so this was definitely NOT a small shipment. Combined with all the other shipments we have been receiving over the past six weeks, we now have well over 1,000 additional trade paperbacks and hardbacks in stock for you. We hope that you can find a moment this week to visit us, as we think that you will be very happy with all of the improvements that we have made for you.

Happy Collecting!

P.S. I want to issue a special "Thank You!" to those of you who bid on items during the benefit portion of the auction that we held at the beginning of Saturday's event. In just five minutes we raised $150, which we immediately donated to the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire, a registered 501-C3 charitable group of which I am a member. Below is a photo of all the members (myself included...) of the ICRME 41st Imperial Family. All told, the members of the 41st Family raised over $3,300 on Saturday to help shelter homeless teens...
