STANLEE! Codeword Sale Begins Today

Howdy!

Today marks the commencement of our new 30% off STANLEE! codeword sale. This new codeword sale is quite a bit different from our recent sales, as it will apply not only to all ten million of our back issue comics and magazines, but also to all 300,000+ of our backlist trade paperbacks and hardback books. Only new releases (both books and comics...), a few variants and oversize items, and our CGC-graded comics are excluded from this otherwise all-encompassing sale.

In case you are wondering, I chose the STANLEE! codeword because Stan is the founder of Stan Lee's Comikazi Expo, which is the Los Angeles convention at which we will be exhibiting at the end of this month (Oct. 31st - Nov. 2nd). With all of my personal work efforts presently being focused on rebuilding our traveling convention booth for that show, it seemed only appropriate that we honor Stan for being it's founder. Please do enjoy this opportunity to purchase any of the vast majority of our books and comics at steep discount. The STANLEE! codeword is for a week only, and will expire on Tuesday, October 13th, at noon.

Steve Rebuilding our Convention Display

On a closely related topic, the rebuilding of our convention booth is progressing extremely well. Not only are we greatly enhancing the diversity and quality of the 50,000+ comics that we will be bringing to the show, but we are also completely rebuilding our display bins. When our master builder, Steve Hnat, finishes his efforts, all of our bins will have been both structurally reinforced, and carefully drilled so that they can be linked together with steel brackets for enhanced stability. We are also mounting each of the cabinets on very substantial wheels, so we that we can simply roll them into place. These enhancements are time-consuming and a bit expensive, but they should help to resolve quite a few of the logistic issues that vexed us at this year's San Diego Convention.

Sabrina #1 Mile High Variant

Moving on to other good news, I was delighted to hear that our Mile High Comics exclusive variant edition of SABRINA #1 was a part of this week's new comics release. I expect us to sell down substantially on our very limited (900 copies...) print run of this issue, as it is a direct tie-in with the highly popular AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE storyline. With Halloween on the near horizon, it seems likely that these variants should sell very well. Copies are still available right now at $19.95 each, but because I have no idea of how quickly our supplies will diminish, I can only guarantee you that price point for a week. Also, as is always the case with our variants, please understand that there is a limit of five copies per client.

I will close today's newsletter by mentioning that Will and Pam have been working very diligently to add even more highly desirable comics into our website inventory for you from those three large collections that we've recently purchased. At the end of this newsletter you will see a series of links to titles from selected publishers in our recent New-In-Stock additions. Follow any of the links provided, and they will show you an array of titles and issue numbers from that selected publisher. Almost all of the issues listed in New-In-Stock are eligible for the new STANLEE! codeword discount.

Happy Collecting!
