Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament Next Week - $1,000 Prize Howdy! Below is the flyer for our next benefit . It will be held at our Jason St. Mega-Store in just 11 days, on Saturday morning, October 3rd, starting at 11 AM. If you would like to be a player in our tournament, please send an e-mail to chuck@milehighcomics.com, and I will reserve a seat for you. The cost to play is $25, with all of that money going to help the homeless teens served by Urban Peak. We have averaged over 50 players at each of our past two tournaments, but because we raise the blinds quickly, the games typically only last about 3 hours. The grand prize is a $1,000 shopping spree at Mile High Comics! In this instance, I am trying to raise donations for Urban Peak prior to the cold weather hitting us. They have as their mission to help homeless teens in living on the Denver streets with warm clothes and essential toiletries, such as soap, toothpaste, and shampoo. If you would like to contribute to our effort to help Urban Peak, but cannot play in our tournament, please drop off your donations at any Mile High Comics location.
