New Codeword Sale

Howdy!

Our recovery from San Diego Comic-Con is continuing, with both our physical and mental energies feeling much restored today. Our convention booth filled with 100,000+ comics is also coming back to life, with it's latest incarnation being rebuilt this afternoon in a special alcove in our Jason St. Mega-Store. After all of our numerous adventures of the past two weeks, it feels really good to be home!

As an aside, if you are traveling anywhere near Denver over the next few of weeks, please feel free to stop by Jason St.,and shop through our great selection of hard-to-find back issues. Not only do we already have an excellent selection of both old and newer comics in our store and convention inventories, but we are starting work this weekend on grading comics from some excellent private collections that I purchased earlier this year in Pennsylvania.

While I am going to choose a few of those comics from the Pennsylvania collections for our convention booth, the vast majority of those 150,000 comics are going to be graded for the benefit of those of you who shop with us online. Our two key inventory staffers, Will Moulton and Pam Brandle, have already begun that arduous process, with quite a few variants having already been graded and entered into our New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links for you. This ongoing inventory program should keep our website very well stocked with great comics for you throughout all of the remainder of 2014.

Moving on to other news, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is looking to be the biggest Marvel hit film since AVENGERS. I read online earlier this week where it has already has the potential to be the highest grossing film ever released in August, with that projection being based upon the huge number of pre-sold tickets. Given that the reviews are also coming in amazingly strong, I am fully expecting that our remaining stock on most of our GUARDIANS back issues are going to be hit hard, with the 2008 series leading the way. We do have supplies remaining on our exclusive variant editions of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (2013) #1 and #5, but those are selling extremely briskly today, despite our having moved our prices on those issues to $29.95 each. It has been a long time since I have seen such a strong demand for comics based upon a movie release...

Rocket Raccoon #1 2nd Print

On a closely related note, I just had Will Moulton place a rush order with our distributor for 300 more copies of the ROCKET RACCOON #1 2nd Printing Variant. We already received what we thought were enough copies for a long term supply, but we are down to just 30 copies remaining in stock after just 48 hours! Having already run out of #1 twice, we also went ahead and reordered an extra supply of ROCKET RACCOON #2 today, which doesn't even release until next Wednesday. That having been said, if you would like free copies of either ROCKET RACCON #1 (2nd) or #2 (1st), you can request either of them in the "Notes" section of our online order form if you place a minimum $40 order with us. A $75 minimum order will allow you to request both. We are only giving away 100 sets, however, so please do place your order with us right away if you want free copies of these two highly desirable comics.

Rocket Raccoon #2

I will close today's newsletter by letting you know that all of our previous codewords and freebie offers are now concluded. Please do not request any past incentive items when placing new orders, as our stocks on all of them are completely exhausted. The good news is that our new 40% off GREATDEAL codeword is now in effect for you on all of our back issue comics. Trade Paperbacks, hardbacks, new comics, CGC-graded comics, and some variants are excluded from the new GREATDEAL codeword sale. So you know, I am planning to keep this new GREATDEAL codeword sale in effect for you for at least a month on all of our back issues.

Happy Collecting!
