Free Young Baby Variants Howdy! This morning, I am once again writing to you from Allentown, PA. Just as soon as I finish this newsletter, I am driving 200 miles to central Virginia to look at a private collection of 25,000 comics. This is the first of three major collections that I will be viewing over the next couple of days, as well a couple of store inventories. With any luck, I will be purchasing about 50,000 comics on this trip. What makes this all a little unusual is that we really do not need to pick up any more collections right now. As a direct result of my numerous buying trips of the past few years, we currently have over one million (!) unsorted back issue comics already in storage in the back of our Jason St. Mega-Store. If my post-San Diego Comic-Con operational plans come to fruition, however, we will be sorting and grading most of those comics for you by the end of this year. That may seem an unrealistic goal, but when you realize that we have already sorted over 500,000 comics this year, it seems somewhat more achievable. Suffice it to say that our website selections will be getting progressively better for you throughout the remainder of 2014... Speaking of San Diego, our entire 700 square foot convention booth is already constructed in our Jason St. Mega-Store, and is currently available for shopping. We have six staff members assigned to enhancing our selection for the show, and they are filing in thousands of additional back issue comics every single day. Those of you who shop with us at the convention would be well-served if you brought your want list with you to this year's show, as we are bringing over 100,000 comics. This is the largest single comics exhibit that we have ever presented at a single event, exceeding even the highly-successful array that we offered at last month's Denver Comics-Con. With our 50% off SWEETHEART sale also in effect at the convention, this will be a fantastic opportunity for you to add to your collection at very little cost to you. As an aside, while our 50% off SWEETHEART codeword is also still in effect for you when you shop with us online, it might interest you to know that over half of the orders that we receive from our website these days are at full website price. This trend began when I slashed our base prices in half back in early April, and has been accelerating ever since. Our base prices on many back issues are now so low that I get more complaints (by far...) from other comics dealers about our prices being too low, than I do from fans about our prices being too high. That is a huge shift from years past... My final item for today is a generous offer for you on 15 of Skottie Young's incredibly popular Young Baby variants. Marvel began publishing these amusing variant covers pretty much on a lark about four years ago, but they have since gained in popularity to such an extent that they now constitute an entire collecting genre on to themselves. What most comics fans do not realize, however, is that many of these Young Baby variants have incredibly tiny print runs, oftentimes set at Marvel's operational minimum of 3,000 copies. That having been said, we were blessed to pick up quantities of a few selected Young Baby variants last Fall, and plan to take the last of them with us to Comic-Con. Before we take all of our Young Baby variants away, however, I thought that I would provide you with a very cool opportunity. Simply put, for the next three days you can pick any one of the Young Baby variants listed below entirely for free as a reward for placing any minimum $100 order with us, or any three as a reward for a minimum $250 order. If you want all 15, they can be yours for free as a reward for a minimum $1,000 order. That last minimum is certainly tough to reach (especially at our steeply reduced prices), but is also a very good deal.
