Howdy! Excitement is building here at Mile High Comics in anticipation of Free Comic Book Day, May 6th. Everyone is totally focused on preparing for this year's huge crowds of fans, which we anticipate will exceed the aggregate total of 4,000+ who attended FCBD at our three Denver-area stores last year. Of greatest concern for all of us right now is the question of whether we ordered enough copies of the 52 different 2017 FCBD issues to meet this year's demand. I say this because demand is clearly growing, and yet some other comics retailers appear to have cut back. Additionally, Marvel Marketing is going to be pushing FCBD on GOOD MORNING AMERICA on Friday morning, May 5th. Given that there could be spot shortages, this year's FCBD promotion could end up being very interesting... All of the above having been said, we are going to begin our annual per-commitment of the special reserve order that we made exclusively for our online clients today. It is critical that you understand, however, that no FCBD variants are allowed to ship until Monday, May 8th. You may reserve your FCBD variants from us today, but any order that you place with the FCBD variants will not leave our building until the allowed date.
Here is our offer on this year's FCBD variants: You may choose to reserve any one of the FCBD editions absolutely free as a reward for placing an order for $10 via our website. The larger your order, the more FCBD editions that you can request. For example, a $100 order allows you to select any 10, a $200 any 20, and so on. If you want to request a full set of all 52 of this year's FCBD special editions (plus our Mile High Comics exclusive WONDER WOMAN and DC SUPERHERO GIRLS), that will necessitate that you place a minimum $400 order. Just let us know in the "Notes" portion of our order form as to which issues you are seeking. It's just that easy!
As an aside, don't forget that we do have a special 30% off FREECOMICS! codeword sale in effect for you right now on all ten million of our back issue comics and magazines. Only new issues, a few variants, and our professionally graded comics are excluded from the FREECOMICS! sale. When taking advantage of this discount, however, be sure and deduct the 30% discount before calculating how many FCBD editions you have earned. The $10 requirement per FCBD issue is based upon the net of your order, after discounts.
I will close by quickly reiterating the two main points. First, if you place an order under this FCBD promotion it absolutely cannot ship until Monday, May 8th. Please be patient! Second, while we have a special inventory of FCBD editions reserved for our online clients, even that copious supply has it's limits. Simply put, the earlier you place your order with us, the better your chances of receiving all of the FCBD issues you are seeking. Happy collecting!
