Free SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31
Offer Ends Wednesday

Howdy!

We were inundated with website orders over this past weekend, in great measure because of our offer in last Friday's newsletter of free copies of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31. If you have not yet locked in your copies of the three primary variants to this final issue in the series, I highly recommend that you do so immediately. We have not yet seen a copy of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31, but we do know that it will tie in directly with AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1, which will have a vastly larger print run...

Superior Spider-Man #31

Speaking of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1, we will need to raise our pre-order price for our exclusive Mile High Comics variant to $24.95 as of Thursday morning, at 10 AM Mountain Time. This is an unprecedented move for us, as we've never raised the price of one of our variants prior to release. In this instance, however, response to this exclusive variant has been so vigorous that 1/3 of our entire original print run is already committed. You have 72 hours left in which to pre-order our AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 exclusive variant at the original $14.95 pre-order price. Contact Greg or Mario in our subscription department at nice@milehighcomics.com, or give them a call (weekdays 9-5) at 303-455-2659. Sorry, but we accept no wholesale orders on our variants. There is a five copy limit per client.

In other news, we received notice last Friday that we were nominated for this year's Will Eisner SPIRIT OF COMICS RETAILING award. This is a great honor, and very much appreciated. The award will be presented at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International. Wish us luck...

Finally, I want to pass on the very good news that William Murakami, our incredibly hard-working Vice President of Operations, was able to reduce our order backlog to just a single day last Friday. Considering that he has had to train four new team members, his catching us up during a period when our website traffic continues to grow by the day is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to William's amazing accomplishment, I am going to keep our 50% off SWEETHEART codeword in effect for you for the rest of this week. The half price codeword applies to all eight million of our back issue comics and magazines, but not to books, new comics, CGC-graded issues, and/or a few variants. For the most part, however, you can order darn near any back issue we offer right now, at half (!) of the prices listed on our website.

Happy Collecting!

P.S. Below is a reprinting of our SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31 offer from last Friday. Because we have been having so many people ordering these issues directly from our website (as opposed to requesting them as Bonus items...), we are going to have to end this offer as of Wednesday morning, at 11 AM Mountain Time.

Howdy!

This is a very busy time here at Mile High Comics. For starters, we are right in the middle of adding thousands of comics into our website inventory from the several large private collections that I recently purchased in New York and Pennsylvania. That enormous task is being complicated, however, by the fact that our remarkably low prices are causing us to still be inundated with online orders, both from our website, and from eBay.

In all honesty, it becomes a difficult decision at times to decide whether we should prioritize shipping the orders we have already received, or to fill in the holes in our online offerings. This is where the extraordinary balancing skills of William Murakami, Pam Brandle, Lynne MacAfee, and Will Moulton help to keep our company functioning. Those four talented individuals are the ones who make sure that we make the right decisions. William, for example, has hired four extra team members into our fulfillment department over the last couple of months, gradually training them to help fill orders quickly, and correctly. That is how the huge backlog that arose when we first announced that we were slashing our prices in mid-February has gradually been whittled down to almost nothing.

Superior Spider-Man #31

I could wax poetic about the amazing dedication and skills of many other members of our Mile High Comics team, but suffice it to say that the hard work of all 40 of the people presently on our staff is the reason why we can offer you so many different comics and books, and can also continue to maintain such low prices. It is also because of their efforts that I have the ability to extend our 50% off SWEETHEART codeword for you for another week. Please do enjoy your half price savings on almost all of the back issue comics and magazines listed on our website, with our sincere thanks for your continuing support of Mile High Comics.

Superior Spider-Man #31 McGuire

My only other topic for today is a free giveaway offer on three different covers of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31. Releasing next Wednesday, this issue is the final installment of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN, with the story of Peter Parker's return then continuing directly in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1. We have free copies of the regular edition that we can offer you for free for any minimum $60 order, free copies of the Kevin McGuire cover variant for a $100 minimum order, and a few free copies of the J. Scott Campbell variant cover for a $125 minimum order. Or, if we have enough left, you can request all three SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31 editions for a combined order of $250. Just let us know in the "notes" section of our online order form which variants you would like to have included in your package at no cost.

Superior Spider-Man #31 Campbell

As an aside, if the incredible feeding frenzy that surrounded AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700 is any guide, all of these issues will be in huge demand once the new Spider-Man movie releases on April 30th. Will Moulton just checked on eBay, and first printings of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #30 (which featured Peter Parker in the last panel...) are already selling in the $7-$10 range when postage is taken into account. I would not be surprised if that price doubled on eBay when AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 is released. As regards SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31, the J. Scott Campbell variant is supposed to have a matching AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 cover. I expect demand for both of those J. Scott Campbell variants to be just crazy. Suffice it to say, the next couple of weeks are going to be very exciting in the comics world!

P.S. We have only 200 copies left of our own Mile High Comics exclusive variant edition of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 at the pre-release price of $14.95. If you want to invest in up to a maximum of five copies, you can contact Greg or Mario in our new comics subscription department at nice@milehighcomics.com. You can also call them, weekdays 9-5, at 303-455-2659. This landmark issue in the history of Spider-Man is releasing in just 20 days, on the same day as the new Spider-Man movie, and right in time for this year's May 3rd Free Comic Book Day. We are the ONLY source for our exclusive variant, and once our last 200 pre-sale copies are committed, our price for our exclusive AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 will rise to $24.95. 'Nuff said.
