Local News - Imperial Court Election this Saturday

Howdy!

I am writing to you today to ask if you would please set aside a few minutes to vote in this Saturday's Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire election. The Mile High Comics Community of fans voted two years ago to help Norrie Reynolds achieve her goal of becoming Empress 43 of the ICRME, and this year I would ask that you please help my Princess from Reign 42, LaShay DiMarco, win as Empress 45. Norrie turned out to be a fantastic Empress for the ICRME, and I believe that LaShay has that potential for greatness in her, as well.

So you know, LaShay is in a very tight election battle this year with a talented young performer who has the backing of many of older members of the ICRME. This young performer is quite a nice person, but has never served as Princess, and has only a limited experience in helping the charities in our Community.

By direct contrast, LaShay served a full year as Princess 42, and has since regularly volunteered her time to help "Feeding Denver's Hungry" volunteers in their mission to bring food and warm clothing to over 1,000 of Denver's elderly, disabled, and economically disadvantaged citizens. LaShay has a remarkably big heart and is always seeking to help others, which precisely is why I hope that you can find the time to help her to get elected this Saturday.

As regards voting, it will be at the same place as two years ago, which is the C.H.U.N. Community Center at 13th/Williams St., directly next to Cheeseman Park. Voting hours are 11-6 this Saturday (March 24th) and you only need to bring an I.D. to prove that you are over 16, and that you are a Colorado resident living north of Castle Rock. Voting generally takes just a couple of minutes, and the members of the White Rose Scholarship Committee will once again be selling their delicious homemade baked goods. If you wish to be chauffeured to the polls, we will be running a free 30-passenger shuttle from our Mile High Comics Jason St. store approximately every 40 minutes.

Please vote for LaShay this Saturday!

P.S. I wanted very much to be a candidate for Emperor 45 of the ICRME this year, but the Board of Directors voted 11-2 to keep my name off of the ballot. That left me with a full box of my beautiful Emperor 45 campaign buttons.

If you stop by any of our Mile High Comics retail stores this week, we will gladly give you one of my campaign buttons for free. I am asking everyone to please wear my button to the polls as purely a symbolic sign of support for my rejected candidacy. While there is no way that you can vote for me, I would still very much appreciate your symbolic support. Thank you! Chuck
