Incredible SNOWPOCALYSE Comics and Book Sale

Howdy!

As you have probably noticed by now, it is snowing, again. We went from having an amazingly warm February through Valentine's Day, directly into the snowpocalypse. The Boulder Daily Camera newspaper is reporting this morning that Boulder surpassed its all-time February snow record last evening, superseding any other month in 150 years (!) of record-keeping. I honestly do enjoy an occasional snowfall, but this non-stop accumulation really bites.

I mention this very unusual weather because it is prompting me to put into effect a sale at our four Denver-area retail locations that I would normally reserve for only during particularly important holiday seasons. If you can brave the elements and make it to our stores, the following amazingly generous discounts are in effect for you:

*All trade paperbacks and hardback books - Buy 1/Get 1 Free!

*Back Issue Comics - any purchase over $30 Half Price!

*Toys - 40% Off!

*Statues - 40% Off!

*Apparel - 40% Off!

This snowpocalypse sale will be in effect for you only through closing on Sunday evening. Please note that newly released comics and books are excluded from the sale, as are our MHC variant editions. We do very much want to make the trek to our stores worthwhile for you, however, so other exclusions to these incredible snowpocalypse sale discounts are minimal.

In other news, we will be hosting a major no-minimum-bid auction on Saturday, March 7th, starting at 11:30 AM. As with our big Christmas auction, there will be a special Imperial Court charity auction happening simultaneously with our items. In a nutshell, we are doing this because we had an Imperial Court benefit planned last Saturday evening to raise money for the Denver Children's Advocacy Center and the White Rose Scholarship Fund. It had to be canceled at the last minute due to Saturday's blizzard, and we are now having a hard time finding a date and venue for a replacement show. That is why I offered to the ICRME Board of Directors to create this benefit auction. Simply put, it was the only way of guaranteeing that we would be able to raise the donations that we promised to the kids at DCAC and White Rose...

All of the above having been said, I am asking that those of you who have some unloved items in your collection that you would be willing to donate to the Imperial Court portion of the auction, to please bring them to our Jason St. Mega-Store. All donations are tax-deductible, as the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire is a registered 501-C3 charity. As an aside, one of our major donors to the December auction asked for a certificate of giving to file with his 2014 taxes, and we now have those available for all future donations. What really matters, however, is that we all try and raise as much as we can for the kids. Any donations of comics, toys prints, etc. that you might be willing to bring by Jason St., would be most sincerely appreciated.

The first few photos of next week's auction items will be posted to our Facebook page, very soon.

Happy Collecting!
