Dr. Taima's mastery of the taimashin, special acupuncture needles, gives him the ability to control the flow of chi in anything - including vicious monsters. While lounging at a hot spring with his lovely assistant Maki Togetsu, Dr. Taima is propositioned by an odd old fellow seeking his special services. Evil never takes a respite, and nor does Taima - in order to qualify for a job, Taima must make short work of a shadowy, gorilla-like demon before a fellow competitor usurps the position from under him! Later, Taima encounters Kyogo Ayasaki, a master of the Ayakashi style of taimashin. Spiteful specters stir up even more trouble when a client is spirited away by a familiar ghost.
