Kick off the New Year with the 26th issue of Monsters from the Vault with Daniel Horne's beautiful painting of Boris Karloff from The Walking Dead featured on the cover. The issue opens with Greg Mank's coverage of the five films (The Walking Dead, West of Shanghai, The Invisible Menace, Devil's Island, and British Intelligence) that Karloff made for Warner Brothers between 1936-1940. Longtime contributor Gary D. Rhodes looks at Tod Browning's 1929 film, The Thirteenth Chair. Finally, authors Mark Clark and Bryan Senn provide an excerpt from their upcoming book, Sixties Shockers: Horror Films of the 1960s. Mark and Bryan look at some of Hammer Studios' best output from the decade. In addition, editorial comments, reviews, and a few surprises await you in this issue.
