Designed and rendered by artist Paul McEvoy, the Monster of a Star poster is a throw-back to the B-horror movie posters of the 1950s. Monster of a Star seeks to parody that genre using Gossamer as the evil monster who rises above the screen, scaring viewers within a drive-in movie theater. Adding a combination of timely realism and parody to Monster of a Star, the frightened Looney Tunes characters are dressed in period clothing and are shown with automobiles from that era.
