Comics' shining goddess of the light is coming back to comics in her first all-new adventure in more than a decade. In this first all-new issue, FLARE returns at last to the world of mortal men, only to discover that while she's been gone something bad has been taking shape. Flare's most dangerous enemies have not been idle. Unless our glittering heroine can put a stop to the spread of a mysterious new street drug called the "darkdust," legions of the restless dead will soon be loosed upon the Earth. This eighteen-page introductory story is by Wilson Hill, with artwork by Gordon Purcell and Terry Pallot, colors by Mike Estlick. For the benefit of new readers, there's a four-page "All About Flare" featurette designed to bring you up to speed. And as an added bonus, Flare's electric little sister Sparkplug stars in a six-page backup tale by Steve Perrin, Wilson Hill, and Henry Martinez.
