Based on a PC video game of the same title, Zero is the prequel to the game and encompasses a truly story in which Shuuichi and his two sisters, Sumire and Katsumi, are born in a secret government laboratory that cultivated esper (telepathic) powers within humans. Forced to endure a difficult life as test subjects, they eventually escape. But they can never have peace as others want them for their ability to cause "zero-shock."
