Over twenty years ago, Ted Nomura initiated a phenomenon in the independent comics industry: Families of Altered Wars, an alternate history multi-series. A space-time accident causes an alternate Earth, known as Terra, to appear directly opposite our Earth in its orbit. The disruption also changes Earth's history at many key points. World War II lasts an extra year. Eisenhower is killed during the war. Earth develops , so many people who should have died lived on instead...and vice-versa. Over the generations, certain of the people who should have died come to realize what has happened and learn they must make the ultimate sacrifice to set things right.
