Local News - Our BIGGEST Comic Books Auction of 2025! (December 13th)
Howdy!
Because we purchase upwards of 20 private collections a day in
our awesome Jason St. Mega-Store
(private stashes that are brimming over with cool older comic books, action figures, statues, paperback collections,
and much (much!) more), we inevitably end up with some very nice duplicates. To keep from being overwhelmed by all of
those extra treasures, we sell 300-400 of those choice items each month via a series of delightful
no-minimum-bid auctions.
We have held twelve of those auctions already this year, with many thousands of great collectibles being sold to
our auction attendees at wholesale prices, or sometimes even at prices that are well below dealer wholesale.

That having been said, our
December auction
is typically our biggest auction event of the year. This year is no exception to that pattern, as we decided that (to
make this auction extra-special!) we could let one of our copies of the extremely rare
FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) #2
go without any reserve price, or minimum bid. This early 1962 issue features the very first appearance of the Skrulls,
who have been taking on ever-increasing importance in the history of the Marvel Universe.

Auction Lot #28
This great old Marvel comic, as well as 300+ other fantastic back issue comics, will be put up for auction on this
upcoming Saturday morning, December 13th. The auction will be held in
our world-famous Jason St. Mega-Store,
4600 Jason St. - Denver, commencing at 11:30 AM. There are no bid limits or reserves, so our auctions typically only
last about 90 minutes. Our goal is to get these 300 great comics into the hands of our most dedicated fans, as quickly
as is humanly possible. We typically have only 30-35 bidders participate in our auctions, so the odds that you will be
able to score some exceptional bargains are quite high, but only if you take the time to join us on next Saturday morning.

Auction Lot #28
Aside from attending our auction, you may well wish to just spend some time enjoying our amazing 65,000 square foot
"Cathedral of Comics and Toys.” We have included some photos of our auction lots. The simple truth is that we have astute
fans travel from all over the world to visit our amazing store, and we have yet to have anyone leave disappointed. Need
we say more?

Auction Lot #27
To get to our great store, take the I-70/Pecos St. exit (about two miles from downtown Denver), and then go two blocks
south, and then two blocks east. Our store is housed in an immense old concrete warehouse building, with 30’ high ceilings.
Our hours are Monday-Friday 9-6, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 11-5. We are open every day, except for Christmas Day, which
we take off. We do open at 9 AM on December 26th, however, as that is our busiest day of the year. Why? Because we sell
thousands of
gift certificates
before Christmas, and all of those lucky recipients swarm in on the 26th (or shortly thereafter) to pillage our stock.
We do not mind a bit, however, as we stock up especially so that we can make everyone delighted that they were blessed
to receive one of our gift certificates.
Happy collecting!
