Huge Golden Age & Silver Age Collection

Howdy!

One question that I heard repeatedly over the 17 days of our incredible 50th Anniversary Sale was "Are you going out of business?" Sheesh. How many times do I have to repeat myself in stating that our sale was purely intended as a great big "Thank You!" for everyone who has supported us for this past half a century? We're having the best year in our history during 2024, so there is just no way in the world that we would even slightly consider going out of business. That is just foolish thinking.

Chuck with a few of the "key" issues

That having been said, I was blessed to be able to purchase a massive collection of 2,000+ Golden Age and Silver Age comics today, paying quite a considerable sum. Were we in the process of liquidating, would I make that kind of financial commitment? I think not. But, since we are making plans today for an even more prosperous 2025 here at Mile High Comics, I strategically reinvested some of the funds that we received during our 50th Anniversary Sale into putting a large down payment on this collection.

A few stacks from the latest collection

So you know, we will pay the balance of the cost of this latest collection off over the next couple of months, thus allowing the collection (at least in some measure) to self-capitalize. This ends up being a win-win for everyone, as I can justify paying more knowing that I can sell a few issues during the payments period to offset the cost. In a nutshell, this is why we are being offered so many great collections of late. We buy outright (no consignments!), and we guarantee payment for the entire collection, not just the "key" issues. If nothing from the collection happens to sell, it doesn't matter, as we have extremely strong cash flows, and zero debt.

Some of the earlier SUPERMAN issues

Anyhoo, that's it for today. I am still quite weary from my two back-to-back roundtrip drives to New York, so I am going to go home and rest some more. I am leaving on Monday to drive to Phoenix and Tucson, so I need to recover ASAP. In the meantime, please be patient if you have an order in our pipeline. Our fulfillment team is working diligently on getting orders shipped, but working through the huge 50th Anniversary deluge is going to take them a while. Your patience is much appreciated.

Happy collecting!
