Howdy!

As I finalize my long distance travel plans for this weekend, Will Moulton and Chris Boyd let me know this afternoon that they have put together the entirety of our no-minimum-bid comics and toys auction that we will be hosting here in our Jason St. Mega-Store just two days after I return. I am not exactly sure how energetic that I will be after my 2,700-mile drive, but we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that I can still auctioneer.

As we always do, we will be allowing those of you who cannot attend our auction in person to bid via our auction clerk, Pam Brandle. Pam had only a small number of pre-bids sent to her prior to our last auction, but still managed to win a couple of key back issues for people who could not attend. The auction before, she won upwards of 25% of the key issues with her proxy bids. You can write to Pam with bids and/or questions via pamb@milehighcomics.com.

In all honesty, I've been auctioneering comics for over 50 years now, and I can assure you that you just never know how things will turn out. Sometimes items go way high, but in other instances they sell for only a tiny percentage of retail. That's why I encourage folks to always place a pre-bid on items that they fancy owning, even if it is a small percentage of estimated retail. You just never know...

I really don't have much else to add for today, as the early fall is our slowest season of the year. We are mostly just cleaning up and fixing up after what was the busiest summer in our history. That having been said, we have also begun stocking up our Jason St. Mega-Store for our annual holiday season, which begins the weekend before Black Friday (November 27th). Believe it, or not, that holiday craziness is now only 10 weeks away. Yowza!
