No-Minimum-Bid Comics And Toys Auction This Saturday
Howdy!
I am back from my annual nine-day trip to Santa Fe, and more than ready to slip back into my comfortable routines
here at
Mile High Comics.
I do love going to New Mexico and hunting for rare Pueblo potery to add into my already vast Pueblo Treasures Museum
collection, but in all honesty I am at heart a homebody, so I am really glad that my trip is now over.

That having been said, I most certainly cannot complain about the outcome of my journey, as I picked up a slew of
unbelievably rare one-of-a-kind Pueblo Indian antiquities that even the world-renown
Smithsonian Institution
would kill to obtain. They can't have them, however, as none of my treasures ever leave my beloved museum. Suffice
it to say, I had a really (really!) good time in New Mexico.

As regards life here in Colorado, Will Moulton, Pam, Lynne, David, Lisa, and all the rest of our Mile High Comics crew
have been doing a great job of running
the Mega-Store,
shipping orders, and preparing for our for the first
no-minimum-bid comics auction
that we have hosted since last April.
That epic auction will take place this Saturday morning (August 23rd), commencing at 11:30. As per usual, I will be the live auctioneer.

August 23rd Auction
If you are interested in placing any pre-bids for
auction items
with Pam (pamb@milehighcomics.com or 303-455-2659), feel
free. Please include the Lot #, item(s), and your top bid. We do accept "lowball" bids, but we do ask that you bid at least
10% of suggested retail, as that is typically
the lower end of our live bids. There truly are no minimum bids, however, so if you want to try less than 10% of
suggested retail, go right ahead. This being wild and wacky Colorado, there is always the possibility of unexpectedly
adverse weather (blizzard?) on Saturday morning, which would allow darn near any bid to win. Whatever the case may be,
there are some truly great collectibles in this auction!
That's it for today. The powers-that-be at the State Engineer's Office informed us last week that they are ending the
water flow in the ditch that feeds our farm in Boulder, sometime tomorrow. That provides me with just a 24-hour window
to provide one last shot of desperately-needed irrigation water to our drought-stricken 32 acres. Wish me luck...
Happy collecting!

P.S. I almost forgot to mention that our 60% off COMICS! codeword remains in effect for you on all ten million+
back issue comics and magazines
that we offer on
our website.
Only new comics, a few variants and restored comics, and our professionally-graded items are exempt. Because our overall
back issues inventory has become so massive, our 60% off sale had a huge response over this past weekend. Just
saying...
