70% Off All Comics Sale Setting Records

Howdy!

I am in a bit of shock today, as our 70% off VISA! sales numbers coming in from our website over this past weekend were even more robust than the $100,000.00+ that we recorded from our website during the first weekend of our 70% off VISA! codeword sale. I realize that by revealing the magnitude of this weekend's response to our 70% off sale that it might appear that I am either bragging, or seeking to somehow self-aggrandize, but neither is actually the case. I am just trying to share with you some concrete information which helps to lay the foundation to the premise that there is a huge underlying demand for back issue American comics (of all kinds) that exists throughout the world today.

A couple of quick related points: First, here at Mile High Comics we are all exceptionally grateful to all of the collectors living outside of the United States who placed orders with us during our VISA! codeword sale. We are quite aware that there are movements abroad to boycott all American companies right now, and we greatly appreciate your looking past the transgressions of our politicians, and to then still order from us. International sales typically constitute 25%-35% of our overall online gross (and approximately 20% of our Mega-Store gross), so we truly cringe whenever yet another act of utter stupidity is undertaken by those who currently control Washington directed toward our brethren living abroad. All we can say at this point is that our midterm elections are a mere 18 months away. Our fingers are crossed that more reasoned minds will then prevail.

My second point is that we are still adding a slew of great comics each day into our Premium New-In-Stock link from collections that Will Moulton has been purchasing for us from sellers who stop by our Jason St. Mega-Store. Just this afternoon, Will purchased a small Golden Age Comics collection from the son of an original owner. Mostly Fiction House and Fox publications (Wertham's infamous "headlight" comics), but also one ultra-rare Phantom Lady, and also a highly desirable pre-code Crimes By Women. All will be listed for you tomorrow at 70% off when you utilize the VISA! codeword.

Golden Age comics just picked up

My final point is to let you know that we have already surpassed our entire budgeted goal for this amazing 70% off sale, so by any reasonable measure of reckoning, I should end our 70% off sale tomorrow. I have decided to instead engage in a bit of hedging, however, by going ahead and letting this wonderful 70% off sale run for yet another 7 days. Assuming that our business doesn't dry up entirely in the fall (back-to-school season being typically our slowest time of year...) I will be stashing away a generous purchasing fund that I will then (hopefully) utilize to buy all manner of older comics this fall. Buying a slew of older pop culture toys is also on my agenda, as all of the major retailers are already predicting major toy shortages this winter due to the uncertainty about tariffs. Sadly, we live in remarkably troubled times.

In conclusion, just to be very clear, our 70% off VISA! codeword promotion in all ten million+ of our back issue comics and magazines is not ending tomorrow, but will be ending promptly on next Tuesday, August 5th, at 11AM. It will be replaced at that point by a still-to-be-determined replacement codeword that will be slightly less generous. The 20% off sale that we c urrently have in effect on our website on all 400,000 of our graphic novels, and also on our many thousands of CGC comics, will also end next Tuesday. That leaves you just one last week to fill in your collection at these incredible savings. Need I say more?
