Chuck's Recovering - Maybe Howdy! A brief newsletter today, as I am still feeling the effects of my brain bleed from earlier this week. I am hoping that the bleeding in my left temporal lobe has stopped, as my headaches and nausea have abated. Sadly, however, my loss of equilibrium and general sense of unease have actually increased since Tuesday, so I really don't know for sure what's going on inside my head. I'll guess that I will just have to wait and see if apparent my recovery is in fact real, or merely an illusion. Sigh... Chuck sorting comicsr The good news for today is that my awesome wife, Nanette, has chauffeured me into the Jason St. Mega-Store on both Thursday and Friday, so I have been able to quietly sort several thousand more comics for Will and Pam to "intentionally downgrade" for you. This kind of light work was recommended for me by my neurosurgeon as an easy way of keeping tabs on the current state of my cognitive abilities. If I feel them starting to slip, he told me that I need to get my butters back into the ER as quickly as possible. Thankfully, I am thus far doing fine. While I have only been coming into Jason St. for a few hours each day, I did feel well enough this morning to write a short essay about my 68th birthday, which I will be celebrating tomorrow, March 11th. The essay deals mostly with my mom, and the traumas that she experienced prior to, and after, my birth. It is a paraphrasing of previous essays that I wrote for inclusion in my first autobiographic graphic novel, a tome which is now in the final stages of pre-production editing.
