Chuck's Home - Huge Comics Auction On Saturday
Howdy!
After ten days, and 3,520 miles of driving (Denver-Santa Fe- Flagstaff-LA-San Francisco-LA-Phoenix-Santa Fe-Denver) I am
finally back home at my beloved Jay Hill Farm in Boulder. There is very little rest time in my near-term future, however,
as the largest
comics auction
that I have ever hosted at
Mile High Comics
is now a mere 48 hours from commencing. Whew!

$100,000+ Auction March 1st (Click on image to view all 40 lots)
To be completely truthful, I am quite nervous about the potential outcome of this
epic auction,
as the pre-bids that have been placed to this point with our auction clerk, Pam Brandle, amount to only about 1% of the list
prices of the incredibly cool back issues that we will be auctioning on Saturday morning. I do love it when people leave our
auctions happy, and with big smiles on their faces, but truthfully, a 99% discount is a bit much!

Anyhoo, I would encourage you to take at least a quick glance at
our auction lots
today. If you see any treasures that you might want to add to your personal collection, please send a pre-bid in to Pam via
pamb@milehighcomics.com, or call her today at 303-455-2659. Pam is super-cool about bidding for absentee bidders, but
(at most) only up to their designated maximum. Over the half of the auction lots do not have even a $1 starting bid at this point,
so there may be some insanely generous bargains available to you on Saturday morning. Need I say more?

Auction Lot #22 (Click on image to view all 40 lots)
As regards our taking a potential financial "bath" on Saturday morning, please bear in mind that I set this up fully aware of
that possibility. After 55 years in the comics business, however, I have been blessed to become the owner of millions upon
millions of dollars in old comic books. Letting a nice selection of them (all duplicates from recently-purchased collections)
go at bargain prices seems a particularly apt way for me to say "Thank you!" to everyone who has supported us (me) for these
many wonderful decades. No matter what transpires on Saturday, I cannot possibly lose, as I will be surrounded by my
community, sharing a great morning within a context that I love with all my heart. Being the owner of
Mile High Comics
for my entire life has been an absolute blessing, one which has filled my heart with so much joy that mere words could never
describe my happiness. Thank you.

Auction Lot #23 (Click on image to view all 40 lots)
I will close today with a quick reminder that my actual 70th birthday is now only 12 days away. Once we hit that magic
March 11th date, our HAPPY70! codeword sale on all ten million+
back issue comics and magazines
will need to end, forever. If you would still like to place a 70% off order with us, you do still have some time left,
but as they say, "the end is drawing near!" 'Nuff said.
Happy collecting!
