by Arellano, Schaff, Schuler & Thibodeau Novelist and musician Robert Arellano (writing here as Eddy Arellano), inspired by south-of-the-border comic books has created his own, English-language 'Mexican' comic, Dead in Desemboque. When a dama named Juanita calls him down to Sonora, he rides across the Rio Bravo and never looks back. He expected to come up against brawls, rustlers of his dogs, and even the sadistic Amazon, but on his first day in Mexico, with the cacti in flower and the snakes far away in their summer bowers, nobody could convince Eddy that, at the end of many dusty roads full of adversaries and perils, he would end up dead in Desemboque!
