Long ago, plants and animals lived in harmony... until the humans arrived. Despite their abilities, humans despise witches and blame them for the disappearance of nature. While Pili continues her search for eden with Oak by her side, she has yet to grasp the true mercilessness of the world around her. A run-in with another traveling witch opens her eyes to the harsh reality of traveling solo. The witch, Laminala, vows to teach Pili all she needs to know about survival in a barren land.
