Contemporary author, Soseki Natsume, wrote a book entitled 'Botchan' based on his experiences in this fast-changing world. 'The times of Botchan' is a fictional account of Natsume and his circle of poets and writers which is peppered with event and famous characters of the time. This, the fourth of ten volumes, flashes back to when Rintaro (Ogai) Mori, Army Medical Officer and poet, returns to Japan after four years in Europe with a foreign woman following closely behind.
