Mile High Comics has won the bidding on eBay to host an autograph party featuring Wildstorm/Homage founder Jim Lee! This auction was initiated by Jim as a way of his making a contribution to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, an organization that Mile High Comics has also been very active in supporting. As a consequence of winning the auction, Mile High Comics will be making a contribution of $6,700.00 to this very worthy cause.

Date of the signing is June 28, 2003. The signing will be held at our fantastic Thornton, Colorado Mega-Store, just five miles north of downtown Denver.

    Our winner was selected from a random drawing from our special e-mail list for the Jim Lee Dinner Party.

    Winner: Mark Gould from United Kingdom

    This contest required a purchase to win. The way it worked was that we kept track of every $20 you purchase from us via our Internet Store placed between November 2002, and the time of the drawing, March 2002. For every $20 that was spent, you received an entry one more time in the contest.

    Winner: Juan Ignacio from Virginia

    You had to be an active member of our N.I.C.E. New Comics Subscription Club. Juan was not able to make the trip, but instead was given $1,000.00 in Back Issues from our Internet Store...his choice!!

Contest #4

    Winner: Jeff Herman from our Littleton Store in Colorado

    This contest only required that you visit one of our retail outlets, and that you provide our store clerks with your e-mail address to enter. This prize also included $1,000.00 in free back issue comics!

Contest #5

    This will be a simple auction on eBay of the fifth spot at the Jim Lee dinner table. The proceeds from this auction will be donated directly to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. We will not provide transportation, hotel, or any other costs with this contest, but we will contribute into the package $500.00 in back issue comics from the MIle High Comics website. This particular auction will be held after the winners of the first four auctions have been determined, but also at least 10 days before the actual signing/dinner. The goal of this auction is to let those of you who are not winners have one last shot at being in the Jim Lee dinner party. It will probably cost you a serious donation, but if you really want to be a part of the festivities, the door will still be open...
