Local News - Huge Storewide Labor Day Sale at Mile High Comics Begins Today
Howdy!
A very brief newsletter today, as I have to make the rounds of our Denver-area
Costco locations this afternoon, in order to purchase as many water-resistant
jackets as I can find. The weather is supposed to turn bitter cold next Tuesday,
and the impoverished people whom I serve in the park next to the
Five Points public library
have no cold weather clothing, at all. Costco has really nice zip-up jackets (with hoods)
on sale right now for only $16.99 plus tax, so I am trying to fill my van for a free
distribution to everyone living in the park on Monday afternoon. If you would like to
contribute to this very worthy cause, please visit my Charles Rozanski personal
Facebook page.
There is a donation button that is really easy to use. Thank you.

Another way that you can contribute is to visit our
Mile High Comics Jason St. Mega-Store
over this upcoming weekend. We have a
"Feeding Denver's Hungry"
donation box in the front where you can drop off blankets, hats, scarves, sweaters, hoodies,
and jackets. Most of the people I serve own almost nothing, and most were sleeping on bare
concrete until I raised the needed $600 to buy them sleeping pads, and small tarps. This
imminent cold front is going to drop temperatures to near (or below) freezing, however, so
getting them some sort of warm clothing by Monday is quite literally a question of saving lives.

Finally, we will also be accepting cash contributions at our front counter in the
Mega-Store
during our annual LABORDAY! sale. This awesome sale begins today (Thursday), and runs
through the end of the day, on Monday. During the sale you can receive a 20% discount on
all of our trade paperbacks, comics hardbacks, statues, toys, posters, and apparel. Only new
comics, blue stickered back issues, Legos, cards, gaming, and supplies are exempt from this
huge storewide 20% off sale.
I will close by quickly reminding everyone to wear your mask, and to please maintain social
distancing, while in the
Mega-Store.
We really do care about your safety, so we have invested $10,000.00 this summer into five
giant evaporative coolers that not only keep our wonderful extremely comfortable on warm days,
but also vastly improve our store's airflow. As long as everyone takes reasonable precautions,
you cannot find a safer place to shop during this darn pandemic than
Mile High Comics.
Happy collecting!
