Comics and Books Giveaway Sale - 50%-65% Discounts

Howdy!

I am taking the unusual step today of composing a newsletter for both our local (Colorado) clients, and also for those who shop with us online from distant places located all around the world. The news is basically the same, so I figure that I can save myself some composition time that would actually be better spent in helping our staff to cope with the various challenges presented by the Coronavirus outbreak.

To start, we are very much open for business here at Mile High Comics. While we have postponed our two big upcoming drag show events (the Main Stage Pride Tryouts on 3/15 and the All-Ages Show on 3/24), our New Era Wrestling show scheduled for this Saturday evening is still going to take place. That will obviously change if we hear from the State of Colorado that larger events are banned, but (at least for now) impacts of the pandemic are more muted around here than in many other places. We have had 49 cases in Colorado as of this morning, but the highest concentration is up in the mountains near the ski resorts, not here in Denver.

That having been said, we are preparing for any possible eventualities by immediately putting darn near the entire inventory of the company on sale. Effective immediately, all ten million+ of our back issue comics (with just a few exceptions) are available to you at a stunning 65% off (Codeword: VIRUS!), and I am even slashing all the prices in half on all of my carefully hoarded 300,000+ graphic novels, trade paperbacks, and comics hardbacks. Simply put, if you are one of the people blessed with available resources right now you have a unique window of opportunity to build your collection and/or library with us, at amazingly generous discounts.

While our back issue comics and books discounts apply to our clients all around the world (including in the Mega-Store), those who do live in Colorado can also pillage our entire Mega-Store under a buy-one, get-one for 50% off discount program. This storewide discount applies to almost all of our toys, Funko, statues, t-shirts, posters, and much, much more. Truth be told, we have no way of knowing how long that the Mega-Store will be allowed to stay open, so we are going all-out to raise cash this weekend. Presuming that our weekend sale results in a decent flow of revenues, then we should (hopefully) be able to weather the coming Coronavirus storm.

My same optimism holds true for our online sales, as even if we are told that we cannot operate the store, we should be able to continue fulfilling online orders for those of you who are housebound. I did announce our 65% off back issue sale on Wednesday evening, and we have already received an immense flood of orders from fans around the world eager to lock in those once-in-a-lifetime rock-bottom prices. Aside from thousands of individual issues, selling especially well for us right now are our 5 lb "Mystery Boxes" at $29.95, and Omnibus hardback collections at 50% off. Everyone, it seems, is stocking up on inexpensive reading material while the postal service, UPS, and FedEx are still delivering.

Well, that's it for today. I need to head in to Jason St. now to help our staff to sanitize and clean the store in anticipation of a rush of clients visiting us over this upcoming weekend. The good news for us is that our Mega-Store is just so amazingly huge that social distancing is pretty darn easy, and that the odds of picking up an infection from an odd surface are pretty much nil. There are never any guarantees in life, but here at Mile High Comics we refuse to stop living our lives with some degree of normalcy while the apparent risk still remains relatively low. If that risk level changes we will most certainly adapt, but for now, we are absolutely still open for business.

Happy collecting!
