X-MEN (1963) (#1-113, UNCANNY X-MEN #114-544) (MARVEL) #154 - Plot Synopsis

X-Men (1963) #154
"Reunion," guest-starring Corsair of the Starjammers, is written by Chris Claremont and drawn by Dave Cockrum with help from Bob Wiacek and Josef Rubenstein. A father-son reunion can be a traumatic event, in and of itself, if parent and child have been separated most of their lives. But when Corsair shows up at the X-Mansion with the Sidri, an unstoppable horde of shadow spiders from space, on his tail, his reunion with Cyclops, his son, is made doubly dramatic. As a pirate, Corsair is ever being pursued by the Shi'ar Empire and by enlisting the aid of the Sidri, the empire seeks to ensure his demise.

With Storm's help, Cyclops and Corsair wage a desperate battle on the ground and in the air over Manhattan to try to shake the deadly Sidri. But during the course of the conflict, Cyclops learns just how different he and his father have become. And he finds out that the empire has lost Lilandra, its empress, to a terrorist cell dwelling on Earth and that the Shi'ar will stop at nothing to recover her. Meanwhile, Professor X and Nightcrawler explore the mysterious island-city that Magneto has risen from the sea in the Bermuda Triangle. What secrets and dangers does it hold? And Carol Danvers, the former Ms. Marvel and future Warbird, confides in Wolverine that Rogue stole more than just her memories with her mutant powers. She stole her life as well.
