X-Men (1963) #121
The X-Men vs. Alpha Flight on a cold, snowy airport runway in Calgary, Alberta! "Shoot-Out at the Stampede!" is written by Chris Claremont and drawn by John Byrne, with a cover by Dave Cockrum. Nightcrawler, Storm, Cyclops and Colossus are in hot pursuit of Wolverine and his captors, the members of Canada's super-team, Alpha Flight. Vindicator, Sasquatch, Shaman, Snowbird, Northstar and Aurora pose quite a threat to the X-Men and they aren't going to give up Wolverine, whom they know as Weapon X, without a fight.
Soon, its Colossus fighting Sasquatch, Cyclops clashing with Vindicator, Storm being pursued by Snowbird, Wolverine taking on Shaman and Nightcrawler bedeviling the French-Canadian lovely Aurora. But when Shaman's magicks stir up more of a squall than he had counted on, it's up to Storm to try to save Calgary from a disaster of strictly unnatural origin. Finally, Wolverine concedes to go with Alpha Flight but saves the last laugh for himself; a gesture that inevitably leads to other clashes with Vindicator and crew.
