MANTRA (1993) (#1-24) (MARVEL MALIBU/ULTRAVERSE) #5 - Plot Synopsis

Description

Mantra (1993) #5
"Mantra, the Animated Series" is written by Mike W. Barr and drawn by Terry Dodson and Jasen Rodriguez. Guest-starring Warstrike. You gotta pity poor Mantra. Inside that bombshell body is a sorcerer, a male sorcerer named Lukasz, trapped by a spell. While the outside may look like the voluptuous Eden Blake, the inside psyche is a man on a mission to find his mentor the Archimage and reverse the curse. But Archimage is the captive of the demon Boneyard and Boneyard's minions are everywhere seeking Mantra's death.

When one of those demons seeks a new physical form in which to strike at his target, he incorporates inside the form of a cartoon wolf. And just like any other cartoon, this wolf-demon comes with 1000-ton anvils, toonish shotguns and a zany sense of humor. Before long Mantra is drawn into his realm and must do battle with him Loony-Tune style. Meanwhile, Eden Blake's children are suffering from neglect and pornographers are making money out of Mantra's scantily clad image!
