Iron Man (1968) #6
"Vengeance Cries the Crusher!" is written by Archie Goodwin with art by George Tuska and Johnny Craig. Back in Tales of Suspense #91, Iron Man turned a Centrifugal Force Ray on a South American madman who had increased his own bulk to become a near-unstoppable man-mountain called the Crusher. Artificially accelerated, his own ever-increasing weight shoved the Crusher through the floor and the earth's crust into a vast underground cavern where the effect and his super-strength finally wore off. Finding the abandoned technology of the subterranean warlord Tyrannus, the Crusher engineered a way to restore his power and clawed his way to the surface again. Commandeering a boat the Crusher cruises to New York from Florida, bent on revenge.
Meanwhile, Tony Stark has got his hands full dealing with his S.H.I.E.L.D.-assigned bodyguard Jasper Sitwell who has fallen in love with Whitney Frost, not knowing she's the new leader of the international crime cartel known as the Maggia. Torn between her drive for illicit gain and her growing love for Jasper, Whitney visits Stark Enterprises to talk things out with the amorous agent. She arrives just in time for the Crusher to make his entrance and take her hostage. His demand: that Iron Man be subjected to the same Centrifugal Force Ray he was. Can the Golden Avenger save Whitney Frost and defeat the Crusher before he's flattened like a tin can?
