GREEN LANTERN (1960) (#1-224) (DC) #206 - Plot Synopsis

Green Lantern (1960) #206
"In Deep" is written by Steve Englehart with art by Joe Staton and Mark Farmer. As a foe for the Green Lanterns, it's tough to beat The Black Hand. This fantastic felon has the ability to steal the emerald energy from the Green Lanterns' power rings and use it against them. And after draining the power from Hal Jordan and Arisia's rings and dumping them down a deep hole, the Black Hand has moved on to the rest of the Green Lantern Corps stationed on Earth.

Meanwhile, John Stewart and the rest of the ring-slingers have holed up in a mountain retreat trying to escape media scrutiny. Freedom of the press is one of the foundations of our democracy, Stewart points out, but at some point it crosses the line into invasion of privacy. After dealing with some nosy reporters outside their home, the GLs race to the scene of the Black Hand's latest crimes. Somehow, Kilowog must find a way to defeat the villain without using his ring! Also, don't miss the incredible developments between Hal and Arisia!
