FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) (#1-416) (MARVEL) #346 - Plot Synopsis

Fantastic Four (1961) #346
"70 Million Years B.C. ...And Then Some!" is written and drawn by Walt Simonson. The Fantastic Four undergo their own cosmic version of Survivor as they all get voted off the island at once; because the island is disappearing! Caught in a bubble of prehistoric time without their powers, the FF have to prove their mettle to a group of U.S. soldiers who are their fellow castaways. With time reclaiming the island at an accelerating rate, our heroes must devise a way of getting to the present without being stuck in the past. There's just a few obstacles in the way: an impenetrable force field blocking their escape and bloodthirsty, roaming dinosaurs.

Ms. Marvel, restored to her beautiful original self, tests her bravery against a particular persistent Tyrannosaurus Rex and finishes it off in true Indiana Jones-style. But even as the FF struggle to get themselves and the soldiers to safety, Ms. Marvel wonders if just maybe she wouldn't prefer to remain in the past. But Ben Grimm convinces her that with our without her rocky Thing-like exterior, she's a woman to be valued and loved.
