FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) (#1-416) (MARVEL) #319 - Plot Synopsis

Description

Fantastic Four (1961) #319
Giant-sized issue! "Secret Wars 3" is written by Steve Englehart with art by Keith Pollard and Joe Sinnott. Featuring the origin of the Beyonder, Molecule Man and the Cosmic Cube! Dr. Doom has joined with the FF in a mind-blowing journey beyond the Negative Zone to find the Beyonder. Only the cosmically powered outsider behind the Secret Wars can restore Victor Von Doom's memory from the time he spent as a nondescript New Yorker. And only by restoring his memory can Doom hope to fight off Kristoff, the clone who claims only he has the right be Dr. Doom, monarch of Latveria. The FF, led by the Thing, hope the Beyonder can tell them more about his race.

When this strange group of travelers finds the Beyonder, he is occupying a universe of his own creation wherein he is everything and everywhere at once. Before the Beyonder can destroy Doom and the FF however, Kubik and the Shaper of Worlds step in and take the fight to him. After a battle on a mult-cosmic level, the combatants agree to talk and thus, the Beyonder and the powerful Molecule Man discover they are the unevolved parts of a Cosmic Cube which belong together. Once that harmony is reached and a new Cosmic Cube formed, the FF and Doom are returned to the Marvel Universe; left with wonder filling their minds and hearts.
