Fantastic Four (1961) #152
"Thundra and Lightning Part Two -- A World of Madness Made!" is written by Gerry Conway with art by Rich Buckler and Jim Mooney. A self-described "rushed" deadline issue, the artwork is fairly substandard in this edition of the FF (witness the fact that Reed Richards seems to have a hand where his left foot should be in the opening splash page). Nonetheless, close followers of the Thundra plotline learn more here of the ongoing conflict between the Femizon warrior and her male chauvinist counterpart, Mahkizmo.
After defeating Mr. Fantastic, the Thing and the Human Torch, Mahkizmo clashes head-on with Thundra at the top of the Baxter Building. Both vanish in the resulting explosion, leaving the FF to try to deduce to which parallel dimension their new ally has been taken. Altering Doctor Doom's captured Time Machine to move sideways through time, Reed Richards leads his team into Mahkizmo's savage world of super-powered dominant males who brutally subjugate their women. Shock follows shock as the FF fall in battle once more, and Medusa seems to abandon them to their fate!
