CONAN (1970) (#1-275) (CONAN THE BARBARIAN) (MARVEL) #79 BRITISH - Plot Synopsis

Conan (1970) #79
"The Lost Valley of Iksander!" is written by Roy Thomas with pencils by Howard Chaykin and inks by Ernie Chan. Since joining with Belit, the Queen of the Black Coast, Conan has taken on a new name (Amra) and cemented relations with the Mer-Ath, the new ruler of the Hawk City of Harakht. Now tasked by Mer-Ath to deliver a sacred object, the Eye of Set, to a nearby village as a token of friendship, Conan sets off with a Stygian guide toward his goal.

However, after the Cimmerian wakes to find his guide's dagger at his throat, he realizes he's been marked for death by the High Priest Hun-Ya-Di, who wants the throne of Harakht for himself. On the run from a dozen assassins led by Hun-Ya-Di himself, Conan stumbles across a beautiful golden-haired maiden named Bardylis and a hidden village that may have been founded by a time-lost conqueror named Alexander the Great!
