CONAN (1970) (#1-275) (CONAN THE BARBARIAN) (MARVEL) #110 - Plot Synopsis

Conan (1970) #110
"Beware the Bear of Heaven!" is written by Roy Thomas with art by John Buscema and Ernie Chan. Freely adapted from the novel "Sons of the Heaven Bear" by Norvell Page. Mystery compounds upon mystery as Conan finds himself taken prisoner by Aesir warriors far from home on the grass-sea of Buryat. "Why," he wonders, "do these brave men cow-tow to a city full of dwarves half their size?" More, "how can there be a low-walled city on the grass-sea?"

The barbarian has scant time for questions, however, before he and his newfound ally the Stygian magician's apprentice Erfu find themselves in the court of the Dwarf-king of Buryat and soon thereafter in his arena, weaponless against a towering monster known as the Bear of Heaven! Without a sword in his hand or a shield to protect himself, how can even Conan survive?
