BATMAN (1940) (#0-713) (DC) #669 - Plot Synopsis
Batman (1940) #669
Conclusion of the Club of Heroes storyline. A mysterious psychopath named the Black Glove is murdering the Batmen of several nations one by one on the isolated island mansion of millionaire John Mayhew. Three of the caped crusaders' sidekicks have been kidnapped and placed in a torture chamber straight out of a B-movie. And the international heroes, all inspired by the legend of the Batman, are at each other's throats, filled with fear and paranoia over who the Black Glove may really be.
In this crucible of peril, new levels of heroism are found in the hearts of champions who may have previously wore their bravery like just another colorful piece of costuming. Leading the counter-attack against the Black Glove is the original Dark Knight Detective himself, coolly analyzing the clues that will lead to the traitor in their midst! "The Bat Must Die!" is written by Grant Morrison and drawn by J.H. Williams III.
