BATMAN (1940) (#0-713) (DC) #668 - Plot Synopsis
Batman (1940) #668
"Now We Are Dead!" is written by Grant Morrison and drawn by J.H. Williams III. The murderous Black Glove has trapped the Batmen of many nations in his isolated mansion of horrors. Italy's Legionary is already dead, stabbed 23 times just as Julius Caesar was in ancient Rome. And while Batman and Robin try to solve the mystery of who is knocking off the members of the Club of Heroes, more and more victims are claimed by the bizarre and intricate death traps set up by the group's mysterious host.
The Knight is forced to ingest a bomb. Suits of armor come alive with the help of advanced robotics and fire round and after round of machine gun fire in crowded hallways. Blue scorpions crawl the walls, seeking new victims. And Wingman is hung upside down like a bat, his face horribly burned and disfigured. And worst of all, the Black Glove notifies the remaining heroes that their sidekicks have all been taken hostage!
