BATMAN (1940) (#0-713) (DC) #664 - Plot Synopsis

Description

Batman (1940) #664
"Three Ghosts of Batman" Written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Andy Kubert and Jesse Delperdang. The Dark Knight Detective has lost the trail of the gunman who shot the Joker but another clue may have just presented itself in a dark, grim corner of Gotham. To get there, the Batman has the laborious duty of first keeping Bruce Wayne's ski date in Europe with sexy pop star Jezebel.

Later, in sharp contrast to the pristine beauty of the Alps, we find the Batman at a grimy house of prostitution in the bowels of Gotham City. There, our hero deals with corrupt police and a callous, uncaring pimp who have subjected the working girls to the carnal appetites of a beast of a man. The Caped Crusader confronts the murderous "John" who has taken to wearing a Bat-suit and has the strength to throw Batman around like a rag doll!
